ANNOUNCEMENTS – TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2008 – “D” DAY

Beginning Instrumental Lessons: Guitar and brass students please remember that lessons will begin today at lunch with Mr. Kapsalis and Mr. Ferrone. See Mr. Caslowitz if you have any questions.

Sophomores:  Anyone interested in applying for the weekend service immersion trips should check their Prep email for the link to the online application.  Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, September 24.

YEARBOOK:  If anyone is interested in becoming a staff writer or photographer for the 2009 Petrean, please come to a meeting today in E-402 at 3:05 pm.

Stock Market Club for freshmen and sophomores:  Organizational meeting Wednesday at 3:00 pm in the Link Lab.

ALL:  Student volunteers are needed for the Open House this Sunday.  Please sign up in the principal’s office or see Mr. Irvine for details.

MODEL UN MEETING:  We will meet today at 3:00 pm in B-216.  We will be electing new officers.  New members welcome.

PREP UNPLUGGED:  Do you play an instrument?  On Friday, October 3, from 6:30-9:00 pm, this year’s first “unplugged” event.  Come out and hear your friends sing and play and enjoy some treats while relaxing with friends.  This event is being sponsored by the Student Council.

ALL:  Those interested in founding an Intramural Committee (which includes Ando Ball) meet today in Mr. Lyons’ at 3:00 pm.

ANDRO BALL:  Those interested in playing Andro Ball meet in Mr. Lyons’ room, B-317, at 3:00 pm today. 

FRESHMEN:  If you ordered pictures from Davis Studio, please pick them up from Ms. Finn in the Attendance Office at 8^th period this week.

FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES:  If you have fully paid for your paperback books, you may pick them up at the campus shop.

FRESHMAN ACTIVITIES FAIR:  All clubs participating in Wednesday’s Freshman Activities Fair are expected to attend an organizational meeting with Mr. Healy in H-201 on Tuesday at 3:00 pm.  Prepare a table and reps and sign up your new membership.

SENIORS:  A reminder to parents that Senior Parent Information Night will be held tonight at 7:30 pm in the church.

KAIROS LEADERS: Will meet today after-school in the Chapel.

Juniors: Any junior who still needs a Spanish 2 book should see Mr. Peters in H-101 ASAP.

FRESHMAN HOMEROOM 1H:  come to the grammar school today at 2:30 starting today, Wednesday, & Thursday for your books.  Please bring checks or credit card.

FRESHMAN AMBASSADORS:  Please remember to check the list each day because students are sometimes added.

ALL: Our first Community Mass of the year will be in Bayonne this Saturday!  It's at St. Andrew's at 7:00 pm.  See Mr. Heffernan with any questions.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

ALL: A reminder that Mass is celebrated each day at 7:30 a.m. in the Chapel.

ANYONE INTERESTED IN SWIMMING: The Swim Team will meet tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3:00 pm in Mr. Giordano's room (fourth floor of the E building).  See Coach Heffernan if you can't make the meeting.

VOLLEYBALL:  All returning players are to attend a mandatory meeting about conditioning on Wednesday at 3:00 pm in E-301.

SKI CLUB:  There will be a Ski Club Meeting this Friday at 3:00 pm in B-317 for all new and returning members.  Snowboarders welcome.  Thanks!
