ANNOUNCEMENTS –FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2008 – “G” DAY

 

DRIVER EDUCATION:  We are out of the driver ed cards.  An announcement will be made when they arrive.

Ice Hockey:  Please see Coach Maione on Wednesday, October 1 between 2:15-3:00 pm to submit the kickboxing fee and the required forms. The fee is $80 (cash only) and the Parent Permission Form, Parent Transportation Release Form, NJSIAA Testing Policy Form and the Club KO Kickboxing waiver will be collected. 

TV Studio / Video FX:  The club will be meeting today at 3:00 in room H-205 in order to create a production schedule.

 

FRESHMEN:  Please be aware that all freshmen must report to Study Hall during their free periods unless they go to the Browning Center.  Study Hall locations and proctors are posted in freshman homerooms and in the Mulry Lobby.  There is no 7th period Study Halls.

 

Seniors:  Today is the last day to sign-up for U of Scranton interviews. There are only two spots available!  See Mrs. Martineau ASAP!!  

 

FRESHMEN:  If you ordered pictures from Davis Studio, please pick them up from Ms. Finn in the Attendance Office at 8th period this week.

 

FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES:  If you have fully paid for your paperback books, you may pick them up at the campus shop.

 

ALL: Our first Community Mass of the year will be in Bayonne this Saturday!  It's at St. Andrew's at 7:00 pm.  See Mr. Heffernan with any questions.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

 

ALL: A reminder that Mass is celebrated each day at 7:30 a.m. in the Chapel.

 

SKI CLUB:  There will be a Ski Club Meeting today at 3:00 pm in B-317 for all new and returning members.  Snowboarders welcome.  Thanks!

 

All:  Fr. Azzarto will celebrate Mass in the Chapel at 12:30 on Sunday for those helping with the Open House.

 

ALL STUDENTS:  Sign up in the principal’s office for the bus to this evening’s football game in North Bergen.

 

STUDENTS INTERESTED IN GOVERNMENT, DIPLOMACY, AND FOREIGN SERVICE:  Ambassador George Krol, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs for the U.S. Department of State in Washington, DC, will be at Prep on Friday.  Ambassador Krol is a member of Prep’s Class of 1974.  He would like to meet with students interested in government, diplomacy, and foreign service.  The ambassador will meet interested students in the library at 2:30 on Friday.    

 

UNPLUGGED:  If you wish to play at the unplugged event on Friday, October 3.  Please find junior, Kevin Cevasco or junior, Chris Dietz.

 

OPEN HOUSE:  Please remember to be here by 1:00 pm on Sunday in Winder Dress Code.

 

Jazz Band - Remember rehearsal after school today beginning at 3:00pm.  Please see Mr. Caslowitz if you have any questions.

 

ALL LACROSSE MEMBERS:  There is a sign up sheet in the main office with name and email for team apparel.  Please sign up by 3:00 pm today or see juniors, Will Cummings (3I) or Ryan Smith (3E).

 

PETROC:  Meeting for October paper in E-204.  All Writers and those who want to write please attend.

 

CELTIC CLUB:  A meeting for all old members and those who want to join in E-204 at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 1.

 

SOPHOMRES:  Any sophomore who did not pick up PSAT information on Wednesday, please meet in Fr. Mullin’s office at the beginning of lunch today.

 

GODZILLA/STAR WARS CLUB:  We will be showing Godzilla Raids Again on Monday, September 29 in B-214 at 3:00 pm.  All are welcome.

 

Sophomores:  Guidance classes from last year with Fr. Azzarto will meet during lunch during the coming weeks. Schedules have been placed in the folder today.

 

Freshmen:  Baseball Club:  Those interested in starting a baseball club will meet NEXT week after school or during lunch. Day will be announced.

 

All: The first meeting of the year will be on Thursday, October 2, at 3:00 in M312.  All are welcome.
