ANNOUNCEMENTS –WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2008 – “C” DAY – LATE START

Freshmen: Those interested in starting a BASEBALL club will meet today in B-220 at 3:00 p.m.

DRIVER EDUCATION:  We are out of the Driver Ed cards.  An announcement will be made when they arrive.

Ice Hockey:  Please see Coach Maione today between 2:15-3:00 pm to submit the kickboxing fee and the required forms. The fee is $80 (cash only) and the Parent Permission Form, Parent Transportation Release Form, NJSIAA Testing Policy Form and the Club KO Kickboxing waiver will be collected. 

CELTIC CLUB:  A meeting for all old members and those who want to join in E-204 at 3:00 pm today.

OUTREACH:  The first meeting of the year will be on Thursday, October 2 at 3:00 pm in M-312.  All are welcome.

ENVIRONMNETAL CLUB:  There will be a meeting today in M-312 at 3:00 pm.

GERMAN CLUB:  Meeting on Thursday at 3:00 pm in M-207 to set calendar.  Bring your Krug.

PREP UNPLUGGED:  Today at 3:00 pm there will be an audition opportunity for students interested in playing the remaining time slots for Friday’s Prep Unplugged music nite from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.

DRAMATICS:  Auditions for Prep’s winter play, the 20^th Century comedy, Heaven Can Wait, will be held on Thursday, Friday and Monday in E-305.

Seniors:  Fordham University will be here on Monday, October 6 for interviews. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Martineau ASAP to sign-up!!

Ski Club: There will be a meeting this Friday in B-317 at 3:00 pm.  Please bring all ideas on fundraising.  See Mr. Healy if you have any questions.

MLB PLAYOFFS BRACKET CHALLENGE:  Sign up is $2 and must be completed with Mr. Evans in E-202 or with seniors Swetal Patel or Alex Yu by 12:15 pm today.  Prize money will be given to the winner’s homerooms Mission Drive efforts.  Brackets are available on Mr. Evans’ door and must be returned today no later than 12:15 pm.

Freshman Ambassadors:  Freshman ambassadors are reminded to check the list regularly to see if you are scheduled.  Several ambassadors have missed their visitors and have been removed from the rotation.

FRENCH CLUB:  Meeting on Thursday at 3:00 pm in e-302.  Je veux te voir ici.  We will discuss the upcoming year and our first trip.  See Mr. Giordano or Bill Foley for details.

CHORUS MEMBERS:  There will be no chorus rehearsal today.

CULINARY CLUB:  The culinary club will meet at 3 in the cafeteria to plan for open mic night. 

Percussion Students:  Remember lessons today with Mr. Gleich during lunch.

Italian Club:  Our festivities for October – Italian Culture and Heritage Month will begin today, Wednesday, Oct. 1^st at 3 p.m. in E-306.  We will be playing Italian card games as well as Bingo Italiano.  A small prize will be awarded to the winners.  Please join us!

MS. GARCIA’S CLASSES:  Periods 1, 2, and 3 (AP Language, AP Literature, and Medical/Business) will meet your proctors in the Library where attendance will be taken and assignments confirmed.  Period 4 Spanish 1 Honors will meet in E-401.

FRESHMEN:  Today is “C” Day.  Period 2 study hall meets in E-301 with Mr. Lyons and Period 4 meets in H-201 with Ms. Rowan

ALL:  Anyone interested in being on the editorial board for Literama, Prep’s literary magazine, please see Ms. Knittel in E-303.  We are also accepting submissions for our winter edition.

VOLLEYBALL:  Conditioning today is cancelled.  Please see Mr. Roldan during 8^th period to get a schedule.
