ANNOUNCEMENTS –THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2008 – “D” DAY

OUTREACH:  The first meeting of the year will be today at 3:00 pm in M-312.  All are welcome.

GERMAN CLUB:  Meeting today at 3:00 pm in M-207 to set calendar.  Bring your Krug.

DRAMATICS:  Auditions for Prep’s winter play, the 20^th Century comedy, Heaven Can Wait, will be held today, Friday and Monday in E-305.

Ski Club: There will be a meeting this Friday in B-317 at 3:00 pm.  Please bring all ideas on fundraising.  See Mr. Healy if you have any questions.

FRENCH CLUB:  Meeting today at 3:00 pm in e-302.  Je veux te voir ici.  We will discuss the upcoming year and our first trip.  See Mr. Giordano or Bill Foley for details.

ALL:  Anyone interested in being on the editorial board for Literama, Prep’s literary magazine, please see Ms. Knittel in E-303.  We are also accepting submissions for our winter edition.

VOLLEYBALL:  Conditioning today is cancelled.  Please see Mr. Roldan during 8^th period to get a schedule.

ALL:  Want to play one of Prep’s beloved courtyard pastimes?  The first meeting of the Ultimate Frisbee Club will be outside in the courtyard at 3:00 pm on Friday.  No prior Frisbee knowledge required.  See seniors, Sean Buckley and Delfin Ganapin for more info.

CHESS CLUB:  The Chess Club will meet in Mr. McCarthy’s library room at 3:00 pm today.

Academic Bowl:  Practice every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in B313.  Selection for teams for the year’s first competition on 10/18 at Princeton starts on Tuesday, 10/7.  Pleas see Ms. Panzera if you are interested.

ALL STUDENTS:  Saturday’s Varsity Soccer game against High Tech will start at 3:00 instead of 1:00? There was a change due to SATs this weekend. Thank you.

INDO-PAK SOCIETY:  Organizational meeting today at 3:00 pm in Mr. Keating’s room, H-201.  All are welcome.

LYONS’ DEN (FORMERLY JOY FOOD):  We will meet on “E” Days.  See Lucas Netchert if interested.

INTRAMURAL COMMITTEE:  Meeting on Friday at 3:00 pm in B-317.  New members welcome.

ALL:  The first issue of The Petroc is available online now at stpetersprep.org under the School Life/Clubs and Activities section.  It should be distributed in print by the end of the week.

FRESHMEN:  It is “D” Day.  Period 2 Study Hall is in the Library with Mr. Furlong; Period 5 is in the library with Mrs. Daniels Rubinstein and Period 6 is in H-301 with Ms. Singleton

FILIPINO CLUB:  First meeting today at 3:00 pm in Mr. Galano’s room.
