ENGINEERING CLUB: The Engineering Club will meet on Thursday at 3:30 pm in room B-315.
Juniors: Would you like to be on the junior prom committee? We need two reps for each homeroom. If so, please see Mrs. Martineau ASAP!!
Lacrosse: Mandatory meeting for anyone who wants to play Lacrosse at 3:00 pm in the gym on Friday, 10/10.
WALKATHON: The Walkathon is Friday, October 24th! Stay tuned for Walkathon prize announcements. There will be a brief walkathon kickoff program as part of the October 8th, Wednesday’s Student Assembly to preview our celebration. The first homeroom to reach 100% of class at $100 will win a special prize. Remember: WALK THE WALK! ON OCTOBER 24TH.
SPANISH CLUB: We will meet on Wednesday, 10/8, in E-302 at 2:50 pm. Elections and plans for the future.
ALL: Indo-Pak Society will be screening, Outsourced, on Wednesday in Mr. Keating’s room, H-201 at 3:00 pm. We will also order form Ibby’s Falafel’s. All are welcome.
ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB: Meeting on Wednesday, 10/8, at 3:00 pm in Ms. Suarez’s room, M-312.
SOPHOMORES: Meetings for last year’s group guidance classes will continue during lunch today, Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Fr. Azzarto’s office – please bring your lunch.
Freshmen: Baseball Club will meet next week, Wednesday, October 15, at 1:00 pm to celebrate World Series with film, games, and hot dogs. There will be more information to follow.

Stock Market Club: Stock Market Club for seniors and juniors will meet today at 3:00 pm in the Link Lab.
Swim Team: Run will be at 3 pm today. Meet outside Coach Heffernan's office.
Big Brothers: Will meet afterschool today in the Chapel.

JUG: The JUG LIST has taken a turn in the wrong direction, it seems. Many students were late to school or to class last week. Please do your best to build good habits and, simultaneously, to avoid the annoyance of JUG!
Italian Club: A reminder that our next event of our October festivities will take place today at 3:00 in E-306, a documentary of two famous Italian immigrants, Sacco and Vanzetti. Also, please pick up a permission slip if interested in attending the "Great White Fleet" exhibit at Grand Central Station on Thursday, Oct. 9th.
MODEL UN MEETING: We will meet today at 3:00 pm in b-216 to award Horace Mann Conference assignments.
ALL STUDENTS: All students wishing to try out for JV and varsity bowling teams must attend a mandatory meeting Thursday, October 9th during 8th period in room B317.
LITERAMA: All those interested in being on the editorial staff for the literary magazine please attend a brief meeting on Wednesday at 3:00 pm in e0303. Please see Ms. Knittel if you are unable to attend.
EASTERN BLOC: Meeting on Wednesday at 3:00 pm in E-206. This will be our first meeting of the year so all interested should attend. Pictures from our summer trip to Georgia will also be shown. GERMAN CLUB: All interested in running for a position on the German Club Council must submit a letter of intent to Mr. G (M-207) by Friday. Club meeting will be on Monday at 3:00 pm.
FORENSICS: All those competing in or attending this week’s tournament are asked to see Mr. Grusenski today at 3:00 pm for a meeting on logistics.
PROGRESS REPORTS: Progress reports for the first marking period were mailed home on Monday. Students should discuss their progress reports with their parents or guardians and return the signed yellow copy to homeroom NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10.
ALL: Soccer games today at Bayonne and Thursday at JFK against Union City. Come support the team.
ALL: Sign up in the main office for a bus to Friday night’s football game. Tailgate to start in courtyard at 4:00 pm. Bus leaves at 6:00. Game time is 7:00 pm.

Academic Bowl: Meets today, Thursday, and Friday in B-313 from 3:05 until 5:00 pm. Selection for team to compete at Princeton on 10/18/08 is under way.
