Culinary Club: The culinary club will be attending a culinary workshop on December 4th. If you are interested, please see Ms. Annetta or senior, Justin Guerra-Sarreal for more information. There are only a few spaces remaining. The next culinary club meeting will be on Wednesday, October 22 at 3:00 pm in B-317.
History Club MEETING: We will meet today at 3:00 pm in B-216.
Mandatory Model UN Mtg: For all Horace Mann conference goers, Thursday Oct. 23, 3:00 pm in B-216. Those who missed this weeks’ meeting MUST CHECK IN with Mr. Cunneen or you are NOT ALLOWED TO GO to Horace Mann! (Alex Mosa, Gary McCann, John Ng & Rolf Mazo this means you).
SOPHOMORES: Today there will be a short meeting at 12:30 pm in the College Placement office on the 2nd floor of Mulry Hall. Any sophomores interested in being Prep’s representative to the NJ HOBY (Hugh O’Brien Youth Conference) meeting in the spring, is invited to attend.
ART CLUB: There will be an art club meeting today at 3:00 pm in E-405 (art room). Please direct any questions to Ms Klim or Mr. Smith. Please attend this important meeting.
NHS: Nomination forms for NHS officers and directions for filing them are available in the main office. Please note that the deadline is today. NHS elections will take place in B-313 at 3:05 pm on Monday, 10/20/2008. If you are unable to attend, please see Ms. Panzera. Details for induction ceremony on October 29 will be available on Tuesday.
SOPHOMORES: Must hand in permission slips for Reflection Night. This is mandatory. See Mr. Heffernan with questions.
ALL: Please join the medical club and Marco Ambrosio ’03 as we get together in creating a chapter for face AIDS at Prep today at 3:00 pm.
ALL: The Environmental Club invites all members of the Prep community to meet and learn from Ms. Dale Rosselet, Vice President of Education for the New Jersey Audubon Society on Wednesday, 10/22 at 3:00 pm.
FRENCH CLUB: Meeting today in E-301. We will be screening a movie about the French Ceasefire during WWI. Also, see Bill Foley and give him $5 for French Club t-shirts. If you did not attend Thursday’s meeting, see Bill Foley if you still wish to play for the Copa del Prep.
Sophomores: Those in Fr. Azzarto’s group guidance from last year will meet during lunch today, Tuesday and Wednesday. Anyone who was not able to make his own scheduled date is welcome next week. Bring lunch.
Freshman: Baseball gathering. Those to those who came on Wednesday our next meeting is next Wednesday, Oct 22 at 3:00 pm in B-220. We will plan trip to Yogi Berra Museum and plan for contest for the BEST TRADES for next year….all freshmen are welcome.
ALL STUDENTS: Students interested in volunteering for the Obama campaign in Bayonne should see Neil Carroll to register ASAP.

ALL STUDENTS--Students are reminded that failure to serve JUG on the prescribed day will result in a JUG CUT. JUG CUT #1 results in an additional JUG. JUG CUT #2 results in 3 additional JUGs. JUG CUT #3 results in Disciplinary Probation and 3 additional JUGs. Italian Club: Bocce anyone? If you're interested in playing a game of bocce, please meet in room E306 at 3 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 21st. Also there will be a brief meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd at 3 pm in E306 for students who plan to see "La Traviata" this Thursday evening at the Met.
VIDEO GAME HOUR: Join homeroom 1K for a video game hour from 3:15-4:15 on Monday, October 20 in B214.
Admission is $5.00 and will include a snack. Proceeds will go toward the homeroom Walkathon Fund. Limited space is available--first come, first serve!
ALL STUDENTS: Please take note of the proper procedure when a teacher or proctor is not in class at the beginning of a period: after waiting quietly for five (5) minutes, one (1) student will report to the Principal’s Office while the rest of the class remains quietly in the hall outside of the classroom. Any student leaving before instructions are received from the Principal’s Office can receive a class cut. This information can be found on page 20 in the Student Handbook.
FATHER O’HARE’S AP STATS AND AP CALCULUS: Will not meet today. ASSIGNMENTS:
AP Stats should review for upcoming test. AP Calc students should do the next section and prepare for a quiz. Precalculus classes will meet!!
