ANNOUNCEMENTS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2008 – WALKATHON   

ALL:  If you have any issues with your new ID card (e.g. wrong picture, wrong name, do not have one, etc.), please see Mr. Healy ASAP.

SPEECH AND DEBATE:  There is a speech and debate tournament on November 8 at Montville High School.  Those who would like to compete please begin practicing or see Mr. Grusenski in M-207.

NHS Induction Ceremony:  NHS dues are $15 and may be given to Ms. Panzera or the new treasurer, Matt Mullman. Dues cover the cost of certificates, and membership pins and cards, along with incidental expenses for service projects. Induction ceremony will be Wednesday, October 29^th at 6:30 pm in Saint Peter’s Church with refreshments to follow in the cafeteria.  Practice for the ceremony will be on Monday, October 27^th at 3:00 pm starting in the cafeteria. All inductees must attend unless excused before hand by Ms. Panzera. There is a sign- up sheet for all NHS inductees on the bulletin board in the Mulry lobby.  Please print clearly the way you wish your name to appear on the certificate (no nicknames please!) by 3:00 pm on Thursday. Parents, relatives and friends may be invited to the ceremony.  Please let Ms. Panzera know how many guests you are bringing so that we can properly plan for refreshments.    

ALL:  There is a mandatory meeting for anyone interested in participating in Indoor Track this Winter on Friday, 10/31, at 3:25 in the Gym.

FRESHMAN AMBASSADORS: We will begin using the new freshman for a day room on Monday. Please make sure you know where it is.

KNEE HOCKEY CLUB: Come check out the fastest game on two knees! The knee hockey club will be having its first organizational meeting on Monday, Oct. 27 at 3:15 PM in B016. (The old wrestling/JUG room)

Academic Bowl. Next competition is Saturday, November 15^th, at Rutgers Piscataway. Practice today at 3pm in B313 and each Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  There are 3 - 4 spots open between the 2 teams for the Nov.15^th. New members welcome.

JUNIORS:  Juniors I still need prom reps from the following homerooms: 3A (2), 3B (1), 3E (1), 3F (1), 3H (2) Without reps we can’t have a prom!!  See Mrs. Martineau if interested!!

ALL: Study Hall E -301 C-Day 2^nd Pd, a “Worldly Wise” was left in E-301 yesterday. See Mr. Giordano to retrieve your book.

MOCK ELECTION Friday October 31 in Homeroom - Students will get to vote in both the US Presidential election and the NJ Senatorial Election

Model UN: Attention Omar Martinez, John Ng, Wesley McLeon, Arlandis Maleckis and ESPECIALLY Alex Mosa - You missed the meeting and are ineligible for the Horace Mann Conference on Saturday unless you see Mr. Cunneen in B-216 this Morning!

HISTORY CLUB:  There will be a history club meeting on Monday at 3:00 pm in B-216.
