ANNOUNCEMENTS – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2008 – “G” DAY
ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB: The Environmental Club will meet today at 3:00 pm in M-312.
COMPUTER CLUB: The Computer Club will meet today at 3:00 pm in the Link Lab. All are welcome.
All: On Wednesday at 6:00 pm in the Cafeteria, Marco Ambrosio and Billy Bludgus will give a talk and have discussion on Marco’s work with AIDS and his visit to six countries. Billy is a graduate also and spent two plus years as a Jesuit Volunteer in Tanzania. All are welcome.
FIRST PREP DANCE: Due to the varsity football game on Friday evening, the dance for this Friday has been postponed until a later date.
VISITING ARTIST: The Art Club will be hosting fine art photographer Collenn Gutwein who will be presenting her work today at 3:00 pm in the art studio E405. All are welcome.
ALL: Mass is celebrated each morning at 7:30 am.
Freshmen: Frosh football team beat Hoboken 49 to 0. Team plays this Thursday at Caven vs. Don Bosco. 6:00 pm Caven. Bus leaves at 5:30 outside café. Do H.W. ..have a hot dog at 5p.m and cheer on the team for last game of the year.
Freshmen and Sophomores: Group will meet this Thursday during both lunch periods with Brian Robinson B-016 (basement). Bring lunch. Snacks and drinks provided.
All: Today is Veteran’s Day.
FORENSICS: Post-tournament meeting will be today at 3:00 pm. We will look back at the tournament and look forward to December 20th at Ridge.

SWIMMING: Tryouts are Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at St. Peter's College. Please see Coach Heffernan with questions. All new and returning swimmers are expected to tryout.
Ignatian Teach-In in Georgia: Students attending the teach-in must attend the lecture afterschool on Wednesday, November 12 from 3-4 in the library.
ALL: Photojournalist Linda Panetta will be at Prep afterschool on Wednesday, November 12 from 3-4 in the library speaking about the School of the Americas. All are welcome to attend.
Ice Hockey: Tryouts for JV and Varsity hockey will be held on Sunday, November 16 @ 6:45 p.m. @ Pershing Field. All players must be in full equipment and arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the start of the tryout. To participate in tryouts, all players must submit the Parent Permission Form, the NJSIAA Steroid Testing Policy Form and the Parent Transportation Release Form. These three forms can be accessed from the school's website on the Athletics page.
VARSITY JACKETS: Anyone interested in purchasing a varsity jacket should come to the Campus Shop on Thursday, 11/20, during lunch. A $125 deposit will be required at that time. Please see Mr. Hollywood if you have any questions.
HISTORY CLUB CINEMA: Das Boot, Part 1 on Wednesday and Part 2 on Thursday at 3:00 pm in B-216. The story of a German submarine in WWI (in German d subtitles).
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: Meeting at 3:00 pm in the chapel on Wednesday.
FILIPINO SOCIETY: We will meet on Thursday at 3:00 pm in B-214. All are welcome.
IFS: IFS will meet Wednesday, November 12, at 3:07 in B-317 to screen film that has yet to be determined. Refreshments will be served.
Academic Bowl: Practices this week today, Thursday, and Friday strating at 3:05 in B313. Competition at Rutgers on Saturday. Please pick up permission slip beginning at 6th period in the main office. We can bring 2 teams on Saturday (rather than 1 as we were told earlier on) so all members are encourage to try for a place on a team for this meet.
