ANNOUNCEMENTS – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2008 – “E” DAY

 

ALL:  Please welcome to Prep Fr. Vin Biagi, S.J., Assistant to the Jesuit Provincial for Secondary Education.  Fr. Biagi will be visiting with us from Tuesday through Thursday, meeting with various groups of teachers and students as well as visiting some classes.  He will be available in the second floor Shalloe conference room during his time with us.

 

ALL:  There will be a Late Start Order on Wednesday, November 19th, “F” Day.  Homeroom begins 9:15 am.

 

BOWLING:  Bowling tryouts continue at Hudson Lanes this week on Wednesday and Thursday at 3:30 pm.  Make sure all your paperwork is completed.

 

ALL:  Mass is celebrated each morning at 7:30 am in the chapel.

 

ALL:  Anyone interested in trying out for the freshman, JV, or Varsity Basketball teams must meet in the gym today at 3:00 pm.

 

MODEL UN MTG: We will meet today at 3:00 pm in B -216.  Sign up for a Mini-Model UN @ Saint Peter’s. New members welcome! Also sign up for spring Seton Hall Conference

 

TO ALL STUDENTS OF SPANISH:  Trip to the Yucatan Peninsula – during Easter vacation.  Please come to E-401 for details today at 3:00 pm.

 

PETROC:  Newspaper meeting today for the December issue.  Articles will be assigned.  All are welcome.

 

Culinary Club:  Students signed up for the culinary workshop must bring registration fee of $35 to Ms. Annetta by Wednesday.

 

Sophomores: All sophomores should pick up a time sheet and reflection paper from Mr. Sekel this week in M-307.

 

ALL:  Breaking Barrier’s, Prep’s GSA, will meet today and every Tuesday at 3:00 pm in B-214.  All are welcome to attend.  Please see Ms. Bleasdale or Mr. Roldan for more information.

 

Freshmen:  Baseball gets together on Thursday. Hot Stove league trades, film, plans for trip and of course free hot dogs. Thursday at 3:00 pm in B-220. 

 

ALL: Literama is now accepting submissions for the winter 2008 edition. Please submit any works of writing or artwork to Ms. Knittel in E303 or email to literama1@gmail.com. Deadline is December 5th.

 

LITERAMA STAFF: We will meet on Wednesday at 3:00 pm in E-303. Please see Ms. Knittel if you are unable to attend.

 

EASTERN BLOC:  There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday in E-304.  All members and those interested must attend if they would like to attend future events, such as visiting various restaurants and museums in New York and watching films of the Eastern European culture.  If you cannot attend, see seniors Josh Zarichnyj or Christ Fernandez or moderators Mr. Oryshkevych or Mr. Burokas.  No exceptions.

 

SECRET AGENT CLUB:  The Secret Agent Club will be having its first meeting on Thursday at 3:00 pm in B-216.  If you have any questions, please see senior, Sushanta Mozumder or Mr. Cunneen.

 

Georgia Ignatian Teach-In:  Brief mandatory meeting today at 3:00 in M-307.

OUTREACH:  Mandatory Meeting today at 3:05 in M-312.  Agenda: Thanksgiving Food drive, Adopt-a-family, Adopt-a-soldier.

 

ALL: The next Prep Community Mass will be held in Hoboken THIS Saturday at 7:00 pm in Saints Peter and Paul Church.  (Directions can be found on the church’s website, www.spphoboken.com).  Prep’s Community Masses are an opportunity for members of the Prep community to join together for prayer and fellowship.  All are welcomed and encouraged to attend!

 

ATTENTION FENCERS:  The first practice for fencing will take place this Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 pm.  The bus will depart at 3:00 pm outside the gym.  See Mr. Evans for a copy of the forms that need to be filled out before you can practice.

 

PETROC:  Meeting today in E-204 at 3:00 pm.  Articles will be assigned for the December issue.  All are welcome.

 

ALL:  Sign up in the main office for a bus to Friday’s game at Don Bosco.  Bus leaves at 5:00 pm.  Tailgate in the courtyard after school.

 

SENIORS:  Senior surveys are due in homeroom on Wednesday.  If you do not hand it in you will have a blank information box next to your picture.  There are absolutely no exceptions!

 

Guitar and Brass Students:  Remember lessons today with Mr. Kapsalis and Mr. Ferrone.

 

Band Members:  Remember required full rehearsal after school today.

 

MS. GOMEZ’ 7TH PER SPANISH 2:  Class will not meet; continue working on your presentations.

 

MS. GOMEZ’ 5TH PER SENIORS:  Remember to meet Ms. Gomez in your classroom at 11:30 today!  Be there or suffer the consequences….

 

MR. LAGERSTROM’S 2ND PER CHEMISTRY:  Class will not meet.  Sign in and pick up assignment in the Principal’s Office.

 

MS. PANZERA’S 2ND AND 4TH PER CHEMISTRY:  Will not meet, assignment is posted in Mulry Lobby.

VARSITY JACKETS:  One time only!  This Thursday during lunch in the campus shop.  A $125 deposit will be required at that time.  Please see Mr. Hollywood if you have any questions.
