ANNOUNCEMENTS – WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2008 – “F” DAY – LATE START ORDER

 

ALL:  Please welcome to Prep Fr. Vin Biagi, S.J., Assistant to the Jesuit Provincial for Secondary Education.  Fr. Biagi will be visiting with us from Tuesday through Thursday, meeting with various groups of teachers and students as well as visiting some classes.  He will be available in the second floor Shalloe conference room during his time with us.

 

SENIORS:  Harvard University will be here on Friday, 11/21 @ 8:30 am. The Rep will be in the Shalloe Parlor for an info session with any interested seniors.  See Mrs. Martineau with any questions!

 

BOWLING:  Bowling tryouts continue at Hudson Lanes this week today and Thursday at 3:30 pm.  Make sure all your paperwork is completed.

 

Culinary Club:  Students signed up for the culinary workshop must bring registration fee of $35 to Ms. Annetta by today.

 

Sophomores: All sophomores should pick up a time sheet and reflection paper from Mr. Sekel this week in M-307.

 

Freshmen:  Baseball gets together on Thursday. Hot Stove league trades, film, plans for trip and of course free hot dogs. Thursday at 3:00 pm in B-220. 

 

ALL: Literama is now accepting submissions for the winter 2008 edition. Please submit any works of writing or artwork to Ms. Knittel in E-303 or email to literama1@gmail.com. Deadline is December 5th.

 

LITERAMA STAFF: We will meet today at 3:00 pm in E-303. Please see Ms. Knittel if you are unable to attend.

 

EASTERN BLOC:  There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday in E-304.  All members and those interested must attend if they would like to attend future events, such as visiting various restaurants and museums in New York and watching films of the Eastern European culture.  If you cannot attend, see seniors Josh Zarichnyj or Christ Fernandez or moderators Mr. Oryshkevych or Mr. Burokas.  No exceptions.

 

SECRET AGENT CLUB:  The Secret Agent Club will be having its first meeting on Thursday at 3:00 pm in B-216.  If you have any questions, please see senior, Sushanta Mozumder or Mr. Cunneen.

 

New Orleans/Man Bear Men: Please bring money for the man Bear T-shirts to M-307.

 

ALL: The next Prep Community Mass will be held in Hoboken THIS Saturday at 7:00 pm in Saints Peter and Paul Church.  (Directions can be found on the church’s website, www.spphoboken.com).  Prep’s Community Masses are an opportunity for members of the Prep community to join together for prayer and fellowship.  All are welcomed and encouraged to attend!

 

ATTENTION FENCERS:  The first practice for fencing will take place today from 3:30-5:30 pm.  The bus will depart at 3:00 pm outside the gym.  See Mr. Evans for a copy of the forms that need to be filled out before you can practice.

 

ALL:  Sign up in the main office by day’s end for a bus to Friday’s game at Don Bosco.  Bus leaves at 5:00 pm.  Tailgate in the courtyard after school.

 

SENIORS:  Senior surveys are due in homeroom today.  If you do not hand it in you will have a blank information box next to your picture.  There are absolutely no exceptions!

 

VARSITY JACKETS:  One time only!  This Thursday during lunch in the campus shop.  A $125 deposit will be required at that time.  Please see Mr. Hollywood if you have any questions.

 

JUNIORS/SENIORS:  Class ring deposits due this week to Mr. Hollywood or the campus shop.

 

FOOTBALL RALLY TOWELS:  On Sale in the campus shop for the big game.  Cost $3.

 

ALL:  Anyone interested in the intramural committee, there will be a meeting on Thursday at 3:00 pm in B-317.  We will be discussing flag football for January.

 

PERCUSSION STUDENTS:  Remember lessons today with Mr. Gleich.

 

MS. ROWAN’S 1ST AND 2ND PER FRESHMAN GROUP GUIDANCE: Class will not meet.  All other sections will meet.

 

MS. BENEDICT’S STUDENTS are reminded that she will not be in until 1:00 pm today.

 

FRENCH CLUB:  Come support the team as we take on the German Club.  All players must attend.
