ANNOUNCEMENTS – THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2009 – “C” DAY

 

OPEN HOUSE VOLUNTEERS:  Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 on Sunday for those helping with the Open House.

 

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS:  Student volunteers are needed for the Open House this Sunday, October 4.  There is a sign-up sheet in the principal’s office.  If you will be there in any capacity, please sign up so a nametag can be printed.

 

Hockey:  The hockey meeting scheduled for today has been rescheduled for next Tuesday, October 6.  Any student interested in playing hockey this year should meet at 3:00 pm in the gym. Important information will be distributed regarding the upcoming season. All players are expected to be there.

 

Freshmen: If you (or your parents) ordered portrait pictures from Davis Studio, please pick them up in Mr. Healy’s office in E304 during 9th period.

 

Juniors: Those who received slip from Fr. Azzarto will meet this Friday in his office during lunch period. Bring lunch.

 

Anime Club:  The Anime Club will meet on Friday, October 2, at 3:00 pm in B-215.   New members are welcome!

 

JAZZ BAND MEMBERS:  You do not need you instruments for today’s rehearsal. It will be entirely a listening session.

 

MODEL UN:  Three (3) spots unclaimed for this Saturday’s Model UN at Horace Mann.   First come, first serve. See Mr. Cunneen in B-216 ASAP.  (Hey Jon Fernandez you missed the meeting!)

 

STOCK MARKET CLUB:  The Stock Market Club will meet today at 3:00 PM in the Link lab (H305).  Log-in and passwords will be given out at this meeting.  The challenge begins.

 

ALL STUDENTS:  Can you sing?  Don’t be shy.  Join the Prep Chorus.  Rehearsals are held every Monday and Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 pm.

 

CAMPUS SHOP:  Dona Perfecta (Spanish Translation) must be returned to the campus shop by Friday, October 2.  If it is not returned, you will have to pay for the English translation when they come in.  We are selling To Kill A Mockingbird in the Campus Shop – the cost is $7.50.

 

MARAUDER NATION:  The bus leaves for the Bayonne varsity football game at 6:00 pm from Prep.  Sign up in the office.  The tailgate starts at 4:00 pm in the courtyard.

 

German Club: Next meeting will be Tuesday, October 6th in E303.  Wear Lederhosen.

 

Forensics Team: Brief speech category meeting will be held on Thursday in E303.  Next Public Forum debate meeting on Monday in M312.  PF: Read briefs in advance.

 

ALL STUDENTS:  All students volunteering at Sunday’s Open House must be here by 1:00 and must be in WINTER DRESS CODE.  Please meet in the cafeteria at 1:00.
