ANNOUNCEMENTS – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2009 – “F” DAY

 

ALL:  A reminder that Wednesday, October 7 is a Regular Order day. 

 

ALL:  Pictures of the proposed science building are on display in the Shalloe Hall on the second floor.

 

Hockey:  We will meet today at 3:00 pm in the gym.  Any student interested in playing hockey this year should attend this meeting.  Important information will be distributed regarding the upcoming season. All players are expected to be there.

 

German Club: We will meet today in E303.  Wear Lederhosen.

 

COMPUTER CLUB:  The Computer Club will meet today in the Link Lab (H-305) at 3:00 PM.  Officers will be elected.  All are welcome.

 

ALL STUDENTS:  If you are a fan of The Office then come to the debut of The Office Club today at 3:00 pm in E-304.

 

SECRET AGENT CLUB:  The Secret Agent Club presents Sean Connery as James Bond 007 in From Russia with Love on Wednesday @3:00 pm in B-216.

 

MODEL UN:  Congratulations to freshman Isaac Atayero and seniors, George Aquila, Tom Tulp and Alex Yang for winning verbal commendations at the Horace Mann Model UN Conference.  Conferees also included Rodolfo Mazo, Greg Kearney, Henry Khost and Mark Bovich.

 

All:  Mass is celebrated each day at 7:25 in the Madonna Chapel.  All are welcome.

 

Sophomores: Counselees of Fr. Azzarto:  Notice is in the HR folder for group meeting to begin on October 15. If you have any questions, please see him.

 

All:  BASEBALL CLUB:  Opening meeting on Wednesday.  Opening of playoffs.  Come to B-220 at 3:00 pm for hot dogs and drinks available.  Movie Sugar will be shown if time.  All Welcome

 

To Freshman Ambassadors:  Please check the list because several changes have been made since Friday.

 

WALKATHON:   Walk this Way!  Students may begin returning Walkathon envelopes as soon as they reach their goal!  Please advise your homeroom teacher as you are returning the envelope so they can help encourage your class!  Remember: the first homeroom in each class year to reach 100% of men at $100 will get Pizza from the Lisbon!  The top homeroom overall will win the Kavanagh Cup, a prize, and bragging rights for the year!  Good Luck!  And don’t forget: WALK THIS WAY!

 

ENGINEERING CLUB:  Meeting today in B-315 at 3:00 pm.  There will be an SPC presentation and opportunities for research at SPC. 

 

MARAUDER NATION: Will meet today at 3PM in H201.

 

Medical Club: We are now meeting in B-315 on Wednesdays, NOT H-302.   Meetings will begin promptly at 3:00 PM.  Congratulations to election winners; President Elliot Montalvan, Vice President Peter Cardoz, Secretary Aakash Shah, and Treasurer Brian Franconeri.  If you are interested in taking the EMT course you must attend this Wednesday Oct. 7th.   Thank you to Furukh and Christian for representing the Medical club at Springs Open House!

 

Italian Club: A reminder to all attending the "Venice to New York" Exhibition at Grand Central Terminal to meet in front of the flagpole at 3 pm with your permission slip if you have not yet handed it in.  Also, please be sure to pay and pick up your ticket to the opera for Thursday evening.
