ANNOUNCEMENTS – THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2009 – “D” DAY

ANIME CLUB:  The Anime Club will meet on Friday at 3:00 pm in B-215.

HISTORY CLUB:  The History Club presents, Platoon, a Vietnam War story, named Best Picture 1986, today at 3:00 pm in B-216.  Our next regular meeting will be next Monday, 10/19.

MODEL UN:  The Model UN meeting is next Tuesday, 10/20 at 3:00 pm in B-216.  New members are welcome.

SECRET AGENT CLUB:  Bond is back! The Secret Agent Club presents, Goldfinger, next Wednesday, 10/21 at 3:00 pm in b-216.

DRAMATICS:  Auditions for Prep’s winter comedy will be held today and Friday in E-305.

All:  The Baseball Club will meet today in B-220 at 3:00 pm.  Share dreams of Yanks vs. Dodgers and arrangements to visit MLB in Secaucus.

Sophomores:  Group Guidance of Fr. Azzarto from Last year. Reminder of the meetings today and Friday at 12:15 in Fr. Azzarto’s Office.  Bring lunch.

KAIROS LEADERS: Will meet today.  See Mr. Heffernan for details.

Medical Club:  No medical club meeting this week.  Next meeting will be Wednesday Oct 21st at 3PM in B-315.

ALL: Next week is Spirit Week, culminating in Friday’s Walkathon.  Get ready to show your Prep pride!

ALL: The Chess Club will meet in M207 at 3:00 pm today.

PERCUSSION STUDENTS - Because of testing yesterday, Mr. Gleich will be here for lessons on Friday during lunch.

JAZZ BAND MEMBERS - Remember full rehearsal after school today at 3pm.

ALL FRESHMEN CONCERT BAND MEMBERS - You need to see Mr. Caslowitz today before you leave campus for important information regarding Saturday's football game.

ART CLUB:  The Art Club will meet on Tuesday, 10/20, in E-405 at 3:00 pm.

ALL STUDENTS:  "Musicians are invited to take part in Monday's liturgy. There will be a rehearsal after school today and tomorrow at the Chorus Room. Acoustic Guitar players and singers are most welcome."

Forensics Team - Brief full team meeting will take place on Friday in E303.  All those hoping to attend or compete in next weekend's tournament should be in attendance.

German Club - Before Friday please pick up permission slips for two upcoming events (Gastronomical & Operatic) from E303.  Meeting on Tuesday in E303.

All Students - Anyone interested in seeing the one-act tragic opera Elektra at the MET on December 18 at 8pm? Agamemnon's soul is calling you! See Mr. Grusenski in E303 anytime after school to pick up a permission slip.  Please do so before this weekend so tickets ($24.00/ea.) may be purchased.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl Tournament- Video Game contest Thursday after school in E202.  Win money for the walkathon.  $5 to enter, $1 to watch.

Italian Club:  In continuation of our October Italian Culture Month, a reminder that today's event ~ Bingo Italiano ~ Gioco a Carte ~ will take place this afternoon at 3 p.m. in E-306.  Small prizes for the Bingo winners!!  New members who signed up at the Freshman Activities' Fair are welcome to join us!!  Also, permission slips are due for this Sunday's Italian mass in NYC.
