ANNOUNCEMENTS – MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2009 – “D” DAY

 

ALL:  The following students should report to Father Reiser's office after homeroom:  John Armstrong, Dave Park, Will Brown, Brendan Higgins, Michael Polanin, Will Simson, Luke Venditti, Neil Meuse and Ian Flannery.

 

COMPUTER CLUB:  The Computer Club will meet on Thursday at 3:00 in H305 (Link Lab).  All are welcome.

 

ALL: Want the chance to win $1,000? A good 500 word essay may be all it takes.  See Mr. Heffernan for more information on this national essay contest.  The topic is – “Explain how you can follow Jesus' words in today's self-centered culture.”

 

Sophomores:  Counselees of Fr. Azzarto:  Meetings today and Tuesday. 

 

ALL:  On Tuesday there will be a meeting for the Petroc in E-204 at 3:00 pm.  Anyone interested is encouraged to join the newspaper’s staff.  Articles will be discussed and assigned for the November issue.

 

HISTORY CLUB: Mandatory meeting today at 3:00 pm in B-216.  Also, the History Club presents, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, starring Jimmy Stewart, Thursday at 3:00 pm in B216.

 

Model UN Meeting: Freshman introductory meeting will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 pm in B216.  New members welcome!

 

CELTIC CLUB MEETING:  All old and new members welcome in E-204 on Thursday at 3:00 pm.

 

ALL STUDENTS:  The History Club will sponsor a NJ Governor Student Mock Election in Homeroom on Thursday.

 

ALL:  Visiting Artist John Ruddy will give a presentation on his work Tuesday in the Art Room at 3:00 pm for the art club.

 

Sophomores:  Counselees of Fr. Azzarto:  Groups will continue to meet today and tomorrow.  The list is posted - bring lunch to the office at 12:15.  The rest will be provided.

 

All:  Pictures of walk-a-thon are or will be posted on the board. Duplicates are available….see Fr. Azzarto.

 

All:  Please remind parents of program on formation on Saturday from 9 till 1.

 

LITERAMA:  Literama, Prep’s literary magazine, will have a meeting on Thursday for all new and returning members in E-307 at 3:00 pm.  Refreshments will be provided.

 

ALL STUDENTS: The student lounge and Campus Ministry offices are closed today; students are not permitted to enter the lounge.  It will reopen tomorrow.

 

LACROSSE:  There will be a lacrosse meeting on Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the Gym.
