ANNOUNCEMENTS – THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2009 – “A” DAY

 

ALL:  This year’s first Prep “Unplugged” will be held on Friday, November 13.  All those wishing to participate should speak with juniors, Graham Wyville and Rolf Mazo.  Auditions will be held next Tuesday, November 3 in H-201 at 3:00 pm.

 

COMPUTER CLUB:  The Computer Club will meet today at 3:00 in H305 (Link Lab).  All are welcome.

 

ALL: Want the chance to win $1,000? A good 500 word essay may be all it takes.  See Mr. Heffernan for more information on this national essay contest.  The topic is – “Explain how you can follow Jesus' words in today's self-centered culture.”

 

HISTORY CLUB:  The History Club presents, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, starring Jimmy Stewart, today at 3:00 pm in B216.

 

CELTIC CLUB MEETING:  All old and new members welcome in E-204 today at 3:00 pm.

 

ALL STUDENTS:  The History Club will sponsor a NJ Governor Student Mock Election in Homeroom today.

 

All:  Please remind parents of program on formation on Saturday from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm.

 

LITERAMA:  Literama, Prep’s literary magazine, will have a meeting today for all new and returning members in E-307 at 3:00 pm.  Refreshments will be provided.

 

ANIME CLUB:  The Anime Club will meet on Friday, October 30, in B-215 at 3:00 pm. 

 

ALL:  Anyone interested in Star Wars or Godzilla? Come to B-215 at 3:00 pm today for a brief organizational meeting.

 

HISPANIC CLUB:  There will be a meeting today at 3:00 pm in e-302.

Sophomores:  Counselees of Fr. Azzarto will meet today and Friday in office at 12:15.  Please bring lunch – the rest will be provided.

 

All:  Sunday is All Saints Day and Monday All Souls Day.  The alumni will have Mass of Remembrance at 11:00 in the Chapel.  All are invited.

 

JUNIORS AND SOPHOMORES:  An opportunity for reflection, prayer and spiritual growth in CLC group – today – during 6th period in S-101 (Fr. Mullin’s office).  Please bring your lunch.

 

All: There is a mandatory meeting for all interested in participating on the indoor track team this winter season on Tuesday, 11/3, in the gym at 3 pm.

 

MS. BLEASDALE’S CLC GROUP:  Ms. Bleasdale’s CLC group will not meet today so students can attend their Kairos meeting.

 

BREAKING BARRIERS:  Breaking Barriers will meet today come find out how you can win $100 CASH by being an ally at Prep. 3pm B215

 

PERCUSSION STUDENTS:  Remember lessons today with Mr. Gleich during lunch.

 

CONCERT BAND MEMBERS:  Woodwind sectionals will be held during lunch today and full band will meet in the band room at 4:30 for tonight’s football game.

 

JAZZ BAND:  Full rehearsal after school today at 3:OO pm.

Italian Club:  A reminder to all members that today marks the conclusion of our October - Italian Heritage and Culture Month.  Please join us at Bar Italiano in E306 @ 3 pm for refreshments and live entertainment by sophomore, Dante Carrasco.  Next event:  pick up permission slips for the Italian Neorealism Film Festival at the Walter Reade Theater, Lincoln Center.
