ANNOUNCEMENTS – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2009 – “A” DAY
ALL SOCCER PLAYERS: There will be a meeting in the cafeteria on Wednesday, 11/18, at 3:00 pm. All must attend. Those still needing to return uniforms should do so at that time.
ALL STUDENTS: Spirit award nominations are due today by recess. Thank you to all who have already submitted nominations. The committee will meet today. Spirit awards will be given out at next Wednesday’s Honors Assembly.
ALL: This week – there will be a faculty meeting on Wednesday, November 18 that day will be a Late Start Order. On Thursday, November 19 it will be a Short Order Schedule due to Parent-Teacher conferences. Conferences will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm and 5:00-7:00 pm.
SOPHOMORE/FRESHMAN CHRISTMAS ’09 SEMI-FORMAL: This year’s semi-formal will take place on Saturday evening, December 19th from 8:00 – 11:30 pm in the Prep cafeteria. Reservations may be made with Mr. Dondero in M-212. The cost is $60 per couple. Space is limited so you need to get your deposit of $30 to Mr. Dondero ASAP. The price includes a hot buffet dinner, DJ, unlimited soda, and ice-cream bar.
Italian Club: Student passes are on sale for Italian Neorealism Film Day for Saturday, November 21. If you would like to attend the Walter Reade Theater, NYC, for a full afternoon of Neorealism films such as Fellini's I Vitelloni and DeSica's Umberto D and enjoy a taste of authentic Italian food, please see Ms. Romano in E-306 ASAP.
FENCING: Any student who wishes to be on the fencing team this year (including returning members) there will be a brief but mandatory organizational meeting in Coach Evans’s room (H-202) on Thursday, November 19th at 3:00 PM
Wrestling: There will be a mandatory meeting for all members of the wrestling team on Wednesday, 11/18, at 2:45 in H203. All football players on the wrestling team must see Coach Verdi by 2:30 on Wednesday for important information.
ALL STUDENTS: Any student interested in joining the wrestling team, there will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, 11/18 at 2:45 in H-203. If you have a conflict, you must see Coach Verdi before Wednesday.
SENIORS: Saint Peter’s College will be here on December 7 for interviews. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Martineau for an appointment.
CELTIC CLUB: The Celtic Club will meet today at 3:00 pm. Meet at Ms. McElroy’s room, E-204. Any questions please see Ms. McElroy or senior, Kenan Moriarty. We will be discussing officers, t-shirts, etc.
LITERAMA: New and old members – there will be a meeting on Wednesday at 3:05 pm in e-307. Please see Ms. Knittel or Ms. Groark if you are unable to attend.
ALL: Baseball Club will meet today at 3:00 pm in B-220. Come celebrate the end of freshman football team’s season and varsity road to meet Bergen Catholic. Hot dogs, games etc.

History Club Cinema Presents: We Were Soldiers starring Mel Gibson, a Vietnam War movie, on Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 pm in B-216.
