ANNOUNCEMENTS – FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2009 – “D” DAY
FRESHMAN STUDENT COUNCIL: All freshmen who have submitted their names for student council must come to H-201 at 3:00 pm today.
SOPHOMORE/FRESHMAN CHRISTMAS ’09 SEMI-FORMAL: This year’s semi-formal will take place on Saturday evening, December 19th from 8:00 – 11:30 pm in the Prep cafeteria. Reservations may be made with Mr. Dondero in M-212. The cost is $60 per couple. Space is limited so you need to get your deposit of $30 to Mr. Dondero ASAP. The price includes a hot buffet dinner, DJ, unlimited soda, and ice-cream bar.
ALL: Saturday’s football game vs. Bergen Catholic is a State game. Everyone is required to pay.
FRESHMEN CONCERT BAND MEMBERS: Be on campus tomorrow by 11:30 am wearing the band pull-over. The band will leave campus earlier that usual in order to beat the traffic at the Football game.
Italian Club: Student passes are on sale for Italian Neorealism Film Day for Saturday, November 21. If you would like to attend the Walter Reade Theater, NYC, for a full afternoon of Neorealism films such as Fellini's I Vitelloni and DeSica's Umberto D and enjoy a taste of authentic Italian food, please see Ms. Romano in E-306 ASAP.
SENIORS: Saint Peter’s College will be here on December 7 for interviews. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Martineau for an appointment.
ALL: Are you interested in becoming CPR and First Aid certified? Take a class through the American Red Cross here at Prep on Saturday December 12th. To sign up or for more information see Ms. Flores in H-302. Spaces are limited and deadline for sign-up by day’s end.
ANIME CLUB: The Anime Club will meet today at 3:00 pm in B215.
FOOTBALL PLAYERS: Any football player who wants to tryout for basketball must see Mr. Dan or Brian Healy this week.

MOCK TRIAL: All students interested in participating in the NJ State Bar Foundation Mock Trial Competition should come to H-201 on Monday, 11/23, at 3:00 pm to see Mr. Keating.
ALL: This Saturday, ten CYO and school teams will tip off their seasons in the Saint Peter's Prep CYO Basketball Invitational. Five games in five hours will help warm up the Memorial Gymnasium for the new season of Prep Basketball just around the corner, and give these 5th through 8th grade powerhouses a pre-season warm up of their own against inter-sectional opponents. All proceeds from the day will support the Archdiocese of Newark's Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children. Participating teams include: St. Patrick (Chatham), St. Theresa (Summit), Holy Trinity (Westfield), Immaculate Heart of Mary (Scotch Plains), Trinity Academy (Caldwell), St. Joseph (Maplewood), and All Saints Academy (Bayonne). Game times are 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. Admission is $1.00.
