ALL STUDENTS:  Please note a change in the calendar this week – today and Wednesday (2/3) are Regular Order days.  Thursday, February 4 is a Short Order schedule due to Parent-Teacher Conferences.  Conferences are being held from 2:00-4:00 & 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday.   Friday, February 5 is a professional day for faculty with no classes for students. 

 

ALL STUDENTS:  Nominations for the next group of Spirit Awards are now open.  Please submit nominations of fellow students by recess today.   We will present the awards at the Honors Assembly on Wednesday, February 10, which is a change from the original date of February 3.  Nominations should be submitted online at http://intranet.spprep.org/spirit.  You must sign in using your Prep network ID and password; be sure to precede your username with “prep\” in order to gain access to the nomination form. 

 

All Students:  The Petrean needs your student activity photos.  Please email any photos of clubs, sports, or general student life to petrean2010@gmail.com.  With your message, include a brief description of the photo(s), and the names of any people in the photo.  Pictures from iPhones are acceptable.

 

ALL STUDENTS:  Any student interest in a Prep Crew (rowing) Team please meet in B-313 on Wednesday at 3:00 PM for an informational meeting.

 

ALL STUDENTS:  Nets game today.  Voucher tickets for the Nets game for tomorrow Tuesday are available – free each voucher admits two.  If interested see Fr. Azzarto.

 

FRESHMEN:  The freshman class is required to attend the Modern Languages Presentation for next year’s course selections.  The presentation will take place in the Church this Thursday, 2/04 at 1:15 p.m. (immediately after 8th period).  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Romano in E-306.

 

Sophomores:  Counselees of Fr. Azzarto.  Group meetings begin next Monday.  List has been placed in the folders.

 

JUNIORS:  This is your last chance to make your first prom payment.  See Mrs. Martineau as soon as possible if you are interested in attending.

 

CONCERT BAND MEMBERS:  Remember full rehearsal after school today.

 

BRASS STUDENTS:  Lessons will be held with Mr. Ferrone during lunch today.

 

PERCUSSION STUDENTS:  Mr. Gleich will be here tomorrow for lessons.

 

Emmaus 248: Emmaus 248 will gather at 3:00 PM in M-312 today.

SECRET AGENT CLUB:  The Secret Agent Club will present, The Worst of Bond, on Wednesday at 3:00 PM in B216.

 

CONGRATULATIONS: To the Swim Team on its performance at National Catholics, held at Villanova, this weekend.  The team’s 200 and 400 Freestyle Relay (of Chris Cannizzaro, Mike Bajuz, Andrew William, and co-captain Will Brown) set season-best times, finishing 7th place both times at 1:32.48 and 3:22.63, respectively.  Liam Tully swam a personal best 1:05.5 in the 100 yard breaststroke and Cannizzaro swam a personal best: 54.84 in the 100 yard butterfly.

 

Culinary Club Meeting:   The culinary club will be meeting on Wednesday February 3 at 3PM, in room B315. We will be discussing possible fundraiser ideas for Haitian relief. All are welcome.

 

VIDEOGAME CLUB:  There will be a meeting of the Videogame Club on Wednesday at 3:00 PM in H105.
